Assassins Creed IV: A Pirate's Life at Sea Trailer

Hi guys
Just a quick one to tell you all that there has been a new trailer for Assassins Creed Black Flag, the trailer is 2 minutes 38 seconds, and it shows the life of a pirate.... at sea! This trailer focuses totally on the naval side of the game, but it is really looking like an epic edition to the series. Black Flag is being released on November 1st, and Q4 for next gen consoles.

Assassins Creed IV Black Flag Pirate Experience Trailer: Breakdown

Hi guys
You may have seen there has been a new Black Flag trailer released by Ubisoft, before I breakdown what I saw in the trailer you can firstly watch it here!
As you can see it is a really, really good looking game, I can tell you that is was running on a PS4, which just shows that when the consoles are released it is going to look gorgeous! I noted a number of things that you may have missed whilst just watching the trailer!
-     First thing was a "Stealth Swim"  as seen below, I don't recall ever having this feature being featured in any of the previous games, so it could be a highly useful feature! (The Stealth Swim is bound to the O button in the top right corner)
-In that very same photo, we see that on the screen there are water splashes, this gives an extra level of immersion to the game. However it won't be an irritating feature, as you only get the marks when you dive into the water, not when you just swim in. (As he does later in the trailer)
 -    Later we hear the Game Director Ashraf Ismail telling us that during storms on the high seas, we can sustain damage to our ship, and even lose crew members(though that is okay with another feature later in the post)!
-     As Edward(who has a wide range of tattoos on his body) enters a red zone on the map, the traditional WARNING RESTRICTED AREA warning come up on screen.

-    We later see that Animus Fragments will be returning to the game, I would suggest there will be around 150 fragments, as there are 50 locations with 2 each, and then the 3 main city's. For me the return of the fragments weigh heavy on my heart, I personally found them highly irritating to seek out and find. I would love to see loads of rewards for finding these fragments, like in the Batman games. At one point in the trailer we do see that the iron mortar required 16 blue prints, now this may be that was the 16th blue print they had collected. However it would be very nice to see some kind of reward to these fragments. As one last thought, make some multiplayer skins unlockable, along with some concept art etc.
-    This new feature that has been announced in that every synchronisation point, will now act as a fast travel station, this will greatly speed up the travelling between the individual islands!

-    As you can see above there is the option to bribe someone, we saw this person just after Edward got of the Jackdaw(your ship), so he could be the ports master of sorts. So if you are looking to go un-noticed in a certain location, you could bribe the ports master to not write you ship down as having arrived at that location. However if you do bribe him, you could just then pick pocket him to get you money back!

-    This is the map whilst Edward is in the new fisherman's villagers, as you can see there are a number of interesting icons on this map including the triangular object just down from the musical note, is the symbol for an animus fragment!(as shown in one of the pictures above.
-    Lastly I leave you with the main map from just PART of the world in which Edward and his crew will inhabit. This world looks a truly massive feat, and I can't wait to get my hand on this game on November 1st.
I hope you have found some or all the information helpful.

Battlefield Diary:C4 madness

Hi guys Rick here talking to you from inside the machine...
There are days from time to time when the Computer thinks that I should look like a total dork to all my fellow soldiers. The way he does this is by making me use a very bad gun, or on this particular day C4. Now I have been through the basic explosive training and I passed with OK grades, but I am no way near good enough to be using nothing but C4 until the Computer tells us the "Score" limit has been reached. I don't know if you have ever picked up some C4, but it is pretty heavy, and I have lost quite a bit of muscle since my original training, so I'm not that strong any more. So I can't really through the C4 a very long way, I can through it about 5 feet but no further. Now that may sound a long way but when you are facing people who are armed with long range weapons, it is very inadequate. On a side note, I do know some special black ops teams who can through their C4 very long way, but anyway I can't.
So here I was in the middle of a quite nice looking Parisian cafe, with nothing but C4 in my hand, and then someone burst in to my lovely little cafe and killed me. Right there in cold blood; well it may not have been cold blood because I had a load of C4 in my pockets, but non the less. So then I was in a half sunken boat slap bang in the middle of the Seine, so I thought it would be best if I tried to keep my body in the same shape it was in now. So of I ran and started swimming in the Seine to the nearest ladder. Unfortunately because of how cold the water was, I was very slow climbing up the ladder, and in that time some sniper in the far flung corner of the map managed to line up a shot on me. That trend continued for most of the match, until I managed to sneak up on the very same sniper in the corner who killed me! There I was, sneaking up on this very stationary person, with his scope sticking out the window(no euphemism intended). I was then right behind my very first C4 target, the sweat was congregating on my brow. My legs shaking from the adrenaline, this was it, the moment I had been waiting all day.
That was it it was over I had my first kill with C4, the only problem of the matter was that I forgot that you had to walk away from the C4 before blowing it up, so I did kill myself, but that is a small matter. For the rest of the match I did manage to get a few kills in there but not as many as I would have liked. Then that was the end of my day, the Computer allowed me to stop using C4 much to my thanks. That was my day, I hope you have enjoyed my second diary I will be continuing this diary soon so do check back.

PS4 Conference Breakdown Part 7: Destiny

Hi guys
We already new about this game before the PS4 conference but we didn't know that it would be coming to the PS4 as well as PS3 and Xbox 360. If you haven't already seen the trailer from the conference here it is:

Let me give you some more info on this game if you don't already know it, it will be an FPS MMO, it will be set in the future and it is being made by the creators of Halo, Bungie. If you your PS3 from your Xbox 360 you will know that Halo and Bungie are-or were- and Xbox exclusive company, even the fact that they turned up to the PS4 press conference is pretty impressive. I also know that this game will feature competitive multiplayer aswell as the traditional MMO gameplay. We don't yet know if the competetive is simply a PvP area or something more complex like TDM and the like. One interesting part of this game is the fact that the music is being written and composed by three people one of whom is Sir Paul Mccartney This game has the potential to be amazing, and I am eagerly awaiting its release later this year on PS3 and PS4. Bungie have side-stepped all questions about if PS3 players will be able to interact with PS4 players.
Thats all for now, thanks for reading.

Gaming Jargon

Hi guys
This is going to be a wired post for anyone who is experienced at gaming, but I am going to talk you through all of the acronyms and terms for gaming, lets get into it.
FPS: First Person Shooter, examples include, Call of Duty, Battlefield 3, Crysis.
TPS: Third Person Shooter, usually just called Third Person Shooter, examples include, Uncharted 3, Gears of War, etc.
RPG: Role Play Game, this means that you fill the role of a person you wouldn't normally be. Developers can be very cunning as to what they call a RPGso just be careful, examples include Skyrim, Fallout, most online games.
MMO, Massively Multiplayer Online, these games are only for the PC-but will be coming to consoles in the form of Final Fantasy- they are games that through millions of people into one map and see the results, usually they have a PvP area, so stay out of there until you are skilled enough.
MMO-RPG, this is the combo of the above 2.
JRPG, Japanese Role Play Game, this is your normal RPG but it is from Japan, as the name suggests, these usually have a unique art style and have a very different approach to combat, examples include, Final Fantasy, Ni No Kuni, and many more but they can be hard to get hold of for certain series.
Patch, this means that the people who made the game are adding or improving things post launch, these come in the for of Patches.
Patch Sub categories: Buff, this is when the developers increase the power, range weight, etc of a gun/weapon.
Nerf, this is when the developers make that weapon/gun/character worse.
Dev, they are the developers of a game, usually shortened to Dev.
MP, Multiplayer, this is just a acronym for the Multiplayer.
SP, Single player, this is just a acronym for the Singleplayer.
ONLINE TERMS:
TDM: Team Death Match, 2 teams going head to head to get to a set number of kills before the other team.
CTF: Capture The Flag, also 2 teams trying to steal the other teams flag and get it back to their base alive.
DM: Death Match, (also called FFA which means Free For All) which sees every player fighting for themselves.
MAJOR SERIES:
FF: Final Fantasy
AC: Assassins Creed
CoD: Call of Duty
BF: Battlefield
That is the end of this post on gaming jargon, I hope you found some or all of it helpful, thank you for reading.
