Sony E3 Media Briefing Breakdown: Part 2

Hi guys
I am so very very excited for the launch of the PS4, I am sure that it will bring in a new age of gaming, with better graphics, better sound, bigger games, and generally better games. The games I will be covering in this post will be fine examples of all the those thing listed above. So without further ado let's get into the games!
This was one of the longer demos shown at the media briefing, it last around 12 minutes! Every single one of those minutes are amazing, you clearly have a large amount of guns to be getting on with. What is most interesting in this demo is the TDM style match in it. I have always thought that it would be an amazing feature to have your standard modes as well as you open world/pvp sections. It looks like it will have that. I wouldn't go as far as to say this is the CoD killer, but so far it is shaping up to be a true treat for any gamer.
Drive Club. A game which is going to be amazing. This game looks to be the nicest car graphics you can lay your eyes on, without actually leaving your house. However I do feel that this game is just another car game. A racing simulator that will have perfect physics, perfect suspension, perfect everything. I'm not having a go at this game particularly just driving simulators in general. For me I would rather take a NFS game any day over a game like this. I'm sure it will be very good, for some people. I doubt I will be one of those people. Either way I will be playing it, as it is going to be the first game which is free with PS+ for PS4!

The Order 1886, a game which could nothing but make you sit up and pay attention. The trailer, tells us that Santa Monica studio are behind the game, as well as the game being created and developed by Ready At Dawn studios. The trailer sees four characters in a horse and carriage, the characters and the world are what could be described as Steam Punk. The game looks relatively similar to Dishonoured, by the way the world and people look. Our characters then exit the carriage and begin to shoot some silhouetted figures, which I am sure will be the games main enemy! This game looks gorgeous and I can't wait to play it. Though something is telling me that we won't see this game quite some time. Just a hunch but there you go!
That's all for part 2 of my breakdown of Sonys media briefing, I hope you have enjoyed your read.
As always thanks for reading.

Sony E3 Media Briefing Breakdown: Part 1

Hi guys
There are two type of games this morning, the ones who are you ecstatic that Playstation scored a home run last night, then there are the Xbox fans who are trying to distance themselves from the train wreck that is Xbox One. You would never think that I was a Playstation fan boy would you?
Right as the title suggests over the next few weeks I will be breaking down the amazing(READ not train wreck) experience that was the Sony Media briefing at E3 2013.

I'm going to be honest with you, the first third or so of the briefing was pretty dull. They talked about a Vita which I don't have, and some TV(blissfully not a lot) which I watch else were, the highlight of that section was seeing the beast that is the PS4 in the metal flesh.

It was after that that thing started to get going, for real, the games started to be brought out in force, I can't remember them in chronological order so I will just talk about them as I remember them! What struck me most, was a little franchise called The Elder Scrolls. Yes that is right; a game which was only supposed to be making its way to PC will be making its way to the PS4 and Xbox One. This game is the 6th instalment in the Elder Scrolls franchise, and a game that I will definitely be getting upon it's release in 2014, there will also be a exclusive console beta for the PS4!

The next amazing game is inFamous Second Son, for this game we got a new trailer that showed Delsin(The new protagonist) being basically a total bad ass. It appears that as Cole's special ability was to do with electricity, Delsin looks to be able to command some form of fire. This game will see you taking the reigns of Delsin and trying to free your new city from tyranny. During the trailer we see Delsin in a car driving to some slightly forested areas, this may mean that the world may be more than just the city!

I know that I have only covered two games in this post, but I want to talk about each game to their fullest extent. Is there a specific game you want me to talk about in part 2? Leave it down in the comments. Also how did you find the E3 press conferences?

Run up to E3 2013: Part 1

Hi guys
As I'm sure you are aware E3 is approaching, this I would say is the biggest gaming event of the whole year, and this year I thought I would make sure that going into E3 you would know what games you want to keep an eye on. In this first post on E3 I will be talking about Watch_Dogs, Assasssins Creed IV and Destiny, I will be covering some Xbox games as well in a future post, so be sure to check back soon.
Watch_Dogs
First up is Watch_Dogs, this game is set in the city of Chicago which is all being controlled by a computer called the ctOS which you just happen to have access to. That will mean that you will be able to hack ATM machines, stop trains, raise bollards, and I'm sure much more. We know very little at the moment about what drove Adian Pearce(The main character) to do what he did, but that is I'm sure what we will be hearing about at E3. All we know now is that there is a family involved somewhere along the road. This is a game that will be launching November 22nd 2013, for current gen and PC, it could be the same date for the PS4 release, but for now we don't know.
Assassins Creed IV Black Flag
Next on in the spot light is Assassins Creed IV Black Flag, this is a game that I am very much looking forward to. It will see our totally new Assassin Edward sailing the seven seas in search of all the best pirate loot. We haven't seen any actual in game footage of this game, but we should be seeing some at E3. I am also very certain there will be a playable demo for any of you who are going. Those of you with a keen memory will remember that last year at Sonys press conference we saw the naval battles for the first time. I doubt it will be more Naval gameplay because we have seen it before. However I wouldn't write of there being some exclusive AC gameplay at Sonys press conference.
Destiny
Last up for today is Destiny, now this game we have see the least about. We saw a very short trailer at the announcement of the PS4 but since that we have seen nothing except a dev diary. I am very excited about this game, it is from the publisher of CoD and the developers of Halo, surely a recipe for success if ever there was one. This is almost certain to feature at Sony press conference this year, and I can't wait to hear more about it.
That's it for now but I will be talking about other games in the lead up to E3, so do check back soon to read more.

PS4 conference Breakdown Part 8:Summery

Hi guys
As you may have seen from the title, I have come to the end of my PS4 summery. There were more games announced but I have covered the ones that I am very excited for. As of me posting this there is no official announcement of the release date for the console, all we know is that it will launch in Fall 2013(Autumn/early winter for UK guys), but that is all we know for now. There have been rumours that the PS4 will get another exclusive event when more details will be shown in May, but that is just rumour for now. We also have no word yet on the price of the console, my opinion is that it will be sold for around £300-£350. I am certain in my assumption that we will be getting many more details at E3 2013 which is being held in LA in early June. That's all for now I would like to thank you all for the immense support of my PS4 breakdown, I hope you have enjoyed reading them as much as I have enjoyed making them. If there is a specific game you would like to see announced for the PS4 leave it in the comments bellow.

PS4 Conference Breakdown Part 7: Destiny

Hi guys
We already new about this game before the PS4 conference but we didn't know that it would be coming to the PS4 as well as PS3 and Xbox 360. If you haven't already seen the trailer from the conference here it is:

Let me give you some more info on this game if you don't already know it, it will be an FPS MMO, it will be set in the future and it is being made by the creators of Halo, Bungie. If you your PS3 from your Xbox 360 you will know that Halo and Bungie are-or were- and Xbox exclusive company, even the fact that they turned up to the PS4 press conference is pretty impressive. I also know that this game will feature competitive multiplayer aswell as the traditional MMO gameplay. We don't yet know if the competetive is simply a PvP area or something more complex like TDM and the like. One interesting part of this game is the fact that the music is being written and composed by three people one of whom is Sir Paul Mccartney This game has the potential to be amazing, and I am eagerly awaiting its release later this year on PS3 and PS4. Bungie have side-stepped all questions about if PS3 players will be able to interact with PS4 players.
Thats all for now, thanks for reading.

PS4 Conference Breakdown Part 6: Killzone Shadow Fall

Hi guys
I'm sure you have seen by now that Killzone Shadow Fall will be storming it's way into your living room through you PS4. Shadow Fall seems to becoming the flagship game for PS4, possibly because of the amazing demo they gave at the conference. It was one of the first games to be demoed after the announcement of the PS4 so naturally it had to be good, and by god it was good. If you haven't seen it here it is; for your amazement I give you Killzone Shadow Fall:
This was one of the few games which we saw actual gameplay footage, no trailers were seen for this game, it was just pure gameplay. As you can see above pretty stunning gameplay, it shows of what the PS4 can do. As you will know if you have played Killzone 3 the games are stunning in the looks department, and Shadow Fall looks to be raising the bar 10 fold. Personally I have never played any of the Killzone games but the story looks to be a very good one. We don't know if this game will be a launch title or if they were just showing of some nice explosions, I'm sure the closer we get the more solid details we will get. My humble opinion is that this game will feature heavily at E3 2013, so look out for my coverage of that.
Thats all for now thanks for reading.

PS4 Conference Breakdown Part 5:Watch Dogs

Hello and welcome
Right this series is slowly but surely breaking down the amazing PS4 conference, up this post is Watch Dogs, if you haven't seen the gameplay footage shown from the event here is a reminder.
As you can see this looks to be an amazing game, the principle of a game centered around hacking is a brilliant one, it is a game theme that has never been explored before. I'm sure this game will be amazing and I am interested in how the free roaming hackery will unfold. This is a game that I am very much looking forward to, and although we don't have a release date yet I think it will be late this year.
As always thanks for reading
