PS4 Conference Breakdown Part 5:Watch Dogs

Hello and welcome

Right this series is slowly but surely breaking down the amazing PS4 conference, up this post is Watch Dogs, if you haven't seen the gameplay footage shown from the event here is a reminder.

As you can see this looks to be an amazing game, the principle of a game centered around hacking is a brilliant one, it is a game theme that has never been explored before. I'm sure this game will be amazing and I am interested in how the free roaming hackery will unfold. This is a game that I am very much looking forward to, and although we don't have a release date yet I think it will be late this year.

Gaming Jargon

Hi guys
This is going to be a wired post for anyone who is experienced at gaming, but I am going to talk you through all of the acronyms and terms for gaming, lets get into it.
FPS: First Person Shooter, examples include, Call of Duty, Battlefield 3, Crysis.
TPS: Third Person Shooter, usually just called Third Person Shooter, examples include, Uncharted 3, Gears of War, etc.
RPG: Role Play Game, this means that you fill the role of a person you wouldn't normally be. Developers can be very cunning as to what they call a RPGso just be careful, examples include Skyrim, Fallout, most online games.
MMO, Massively Multiplayer Online, these games are only for the PC-but will be coming to consoles in the form of Final Fantasy- they are games that through millions of people into one map and see the results, usually they have a PvP area, so stay out of there until you are skilled enough.
MMO-RPG, this is the combo of the above 2.
JRPG, Japanese Role Play Game, this is your normal RPG but it is from Japan, as the name suggests, these usually have a unique art style and have a very different approach to combat, examples include, Final Fantasy, Ni No Kuni, and many more but they can be hard to get hold of for certain series.
Patch, this means that the people who made the game are adding or improving things post launch, these come in the for of Patches.
Patch Sub categories: Buff, this is when the developers increase the power, range weight,etc of a gun/weapon.
                                 Nerf, this is when the developers make that weapon/gun/character worse.
Dev, they are the developers of a game, usually shortened to Dev.
MP, Multiplayer, this is just a acronym for the Multiplayer.
SP, Single player, this is just a acronym for the Singleplayer.
ONLINE TERMS:
TDM: Team Death Match, 2 teams going head to head to get to a set number of kills before the other team.
CTF: Capture The Flag, also 2 teams trying to steal the other teams flag and get it back to their base alive.
DM: Death Match, (also called FFA which means Free For All) which sees every player fighting for themselves.
MAJOR SERIES:
FF: Final Fantasy
AC: Assassins Creed
CoD: Call of Duty
BF: Battlefield

Race To Platinum:Need For Speed Most Wanted: Episode 3

Hello my dear readers
As you may have read in my last post, I will be very busy in the next few months, fear not though I will still be playing this brilliant game, but I won't be able to post about it. I will do a post at the end of this bust period, when I hope to be able to inform you that I have achieved the impossible(not really but go with it) and earned the Platinum for the game. I have played this game quite a bit recently and I only have 13 trophies left to earn, which I will now list:

Where could it go next? Battlefield

Hi guys
Welcome welcome welcome, to a new series that I will be starting from now on in which I will examine major series and see where they could develop and what could be changed. As you will have read from the title this post I will be examining the Battlefield series, so lets get straight into it.
      I will admit now the only Battlefield game I have played is Battlefield 3, but I was highly impressed by that game, it is my favourite FPS and my favourite multiplayer game. Anyway in BF3 you have 4 classes in the form of Assault, Support, Engineer and Recon, these four classes has been down sized from BF:BC2 which had 8 classes, I think it should stay with the four classes, but the guns you unlock should be for versatile as to which class you can use them in. As you will know if you have played any of BF3 the leveling system is a very very slow one, in BF4 I would like to see a considerably sped up leveling system, there is a fine line between feeling a great reward at leveling up and feeling you barley never level up. I would put BF3 on the latter side of the line, also there are certain levels when you are highly uninterested in what you have just unlocked.
     I think the massive maps are a part of the Battlefield legacy, and that it should stick to it. I would also like to see many more game modes in the game, in BF3 there are only 3 modes you will want to play(pre-DLC) and all of them are highly generic. A feature many people have said they would like to see in BF4(myself included) is a Battlerecorder of sorts, something with which you will be able to watch your match back and make awesome montages. My last wish for BF4 is more guns, you do feel slightly bored after a while with the same guns over and over again, but that is a small complaint.
Just a quick side-note at the end of this post, BF4 is more that lightly to be announced at the GDC in late March so keep your eyes peeled for that and all the info we will be getting, BF4 may also be announced as to be coming to next-gen consoles as well as current-gen.

MAJOR NEWS-Assassins Creed 4 Trailer screenshots Part 3

Hi guys
Right the first 2 photos are just ones I like showing diverse locations, there isn't much to them but I think we will be playing in some very nice lush locations. The third shot is Edward assassinating a target, this comes as a releaf to me as I was worried that this game would be stepping even further from its roots. Just before you see him assassinate this target you see a side shot of Edward in which you can see two gun holsters which are empty, so Edward won't be just shooting everything up which is also a releaf.And then the fourth picture is probably the most important picture, and that shows that we will be able to play this game on next-gen consoles ie PS4 and the next Xbox.
I am personally very excited for this game and look forward to you being able to watch the trailer on Monday the 4th of March 2013, I will be uploading it once it is public.

MAJOR NEWS-Assassins Creed 4 Trailer screenshots Part 2

Hi guys
Right, below we have a cinimatic shot of two ships in battle, just after that shot Edward leaps into the other boat and... Well kills everyone. Then we have our one shot of what looks to be a port of sorts, what worries me is that this is one of only two shots of actual citys or towns. I'm sure there is much more, but they are heavly showing the naval side of things. Then we see Edward diving in the see, this may be an awsome idea if it is used in the final game. MAJOR NEWS-Assassins Creed 4 Trailer screenshots Part 1

I have some very secret information to share with you, I was one of only a few people to watch the trailer before it is released tommorow, below I will show you some screen shots I managed to take. I oppologise about the quality but I hope they are good enough. The main characters name is Edward(Yes the same as mine!) and he is indeed a pirate, but I will let you look at them now. I personaly can't wait for this game to come out on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Next-gen Xbox, PC and Wii U.
I can't put all the pictures into 1 post so you will get all the shots in the next 3 posts, enjoy.
Below we have the emblem of Assassins Creed, our new hero Edward Henway(Grandad to Connor) and a pirate by the name of Blackbeard.
